Modern and vintage formats
Use the modern Topps rectangle for the width and height of a standard sports card. Check vintage sets separately, and measure patch, relic or layered cards at their thickest point before choosing a holder.
Vintage sizes
PSA describes T206 tobacco cards as approximately 1.438 × 2.625 in and the 1952 Topps baseball set as 2.625 × 3.75 in. These are set descriptions from a grading company, not manufacturer specifications for every surviving card.
Ultra Pro’s tobacco-size toploader supports cards up to 1.47 × 2.69 in (37.31 × 68.26 mm), covering the T206 reference. The 1952 Topps rectangle exceeds a modern toploader’s supported width; the listed oversized holder supports up to 3.5 × 5.13 in (88.9 × 130.18 mm).
Holder thickness

Questions
Are trading cards the same size as Pokémon cards?
The Pokémon reference, 63 × 88 mm, is 0.5 × 0.9 mm (0.02 × 0.04 in) smaller than the inch-specified Topps rectangle. Both use standard sleeves, but compare the specific card and product dimensions when choosing a close-fitting inner sleeve.
